Tyler Pasher, Sterling Flunder and Stephen Okai found the net as the Hounds dominated three 30-minute periods against the Atlantic 10 Conference side from Loretto, Pennsylvania.

Pasher showed his electrifying speed seconds after the kickoff to almost beat visiting goalkeeper Marcus Rojas to a long through ball.

The young Canadian did gather possession inside the penalty box on six minutes after Mike Green stepped away from Red Flash defender Pedro Neto to create space. Pasher coolly stroked his shot inside the far corner to put the Hounds ahead.

Anthony Arena almost doubled the lead on 38 minutes when he connected with a corner kick. Red Flash defender Francis de Vries cleared the ball off his goal line.

An unlikely combination succeeded in extending the Hounds’ advantage on 53 minutes. Former University of Maryland defender Jereme Raley swapped passes with new signing Amara Soumah before bending a wicked ball toward the back post.

Opposite full-back Sterling Flunder arrived to dispatch a firm header beyond the stranded Rojas.

The Hounds scored a magnificent team goal on 71 minutes. Captain Danny Earls won the ball on the left of midfield before picking out Kevin Kerr with a long diagonal switch. The Scottish midfielder cushioned his volley to the edge of the 18-yard box for Okai to sweep an unerring finish low into the far corner.

USL action returns to Highmark Stadium Sunday when the Hounds meet expansion side Louisville City. Kickoff is at 3 p.m.

Tickets for this month’s remaining home games against Louisville and Toronto F.C. II are still available. Visit Riverhounds.com for details or call the Highmark Stadium box office on (412) 325-7241 to speak to a ticket representative.
