The Pittsburgh Power will hold their 5th Annual Open Tryouts Sunday, October 26 at Southpointe Fieldhouse (104 Cecil Henderson Road) in Canonsburg, PA. Registration will be from 8:15 to 9:00 a.m. with the tryout period from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Each prospect will receive a professional evaluation by Power Head Coach Ron James and other professional indoor league coaches and representatives. Participants will also receive a Pittsburgh Power workout shirt and two tickets to the Power home opener in March 2015 at CONSOL Energy Center. No kickers will be evaluated at the tryout.

Early registration is $50 per participant and can be completed online through Friday, October 24 at 5:00 p.m. at pittsburghpowerfootball.com. Day-of registration will also be available on October 26 for $75 (cash only). Participants are asked to wear appropriate football workout attire, specifically cleats because Southpointe Fieldhouse is a field turf surface.

Since 2010, over 750 prospects have tried out for the Pittsburgh Power. Many try out participants have been signed to the team including franchise all-time leading receiver Mike Washington.

With a 15-3 regular season finish, the Power are coming off of their best season in franchise history. Pittsburgh tied an Arena Football League record with 12-straight games to end a regular season on their way to the team’s first ever playoff appearance.
